Chapter 3: What You Practice Grows Stronger
If you find that you are working harder than your participants, how can you step back and allow them to step forward and have a greater stake in the workshop?
I try to make space for their ownership of the process. The goal is to co-create with them instead of having them feel solely like they are participating in my project. I can do this by asking thoughtful questions, encouraging them to find their own insights, and naming and honoring any discomfort that may be keeping them quiet or disengaged.

There are some classes where I feel that I work harder. I still struggle with this at times. I want the participants to be as excited about receiving the information as I am about delivering it. I would make it more interactive and allow space for teach back and reflections. Small group also helps; I feel that at times they will talk more in that setting.
